Brand Identity & Custom Visual Designs
Universal Music, the UK’s leading music company, annually hosts an exclusive event in London for its staff, featuring performances from its renowned artists. For the annual D&AD New Blood 2024, UK Universal Music asked creatives to help them rebranded the event as “UMusic Autumn,” along with with creating a visual identity that captures the vibrancy and spirit of the exclusive event for its staff.
Since music evokes deep emotions, I wanted this to be at the heart of my overall design and illustration strategy. The entire brand identity of the event, from the new logo, the hand-drawn illustrated poster, was to showcase the energy and fun of the event.
The poster, email invites, and branding elements were designed to build anticipation, even without revealing the performing artists, sparking excitement among Universal Music staff and to celebrate the creativity and unity of the Universal Music community.
By emphasizing how music connects deeply with our emotions, the final design aimed to create a buzz and sense of exclusivity, making the event feel both special and energetic for everyone involved.
