Packaging Design & Custom Hand Drawn Illustrations

Two bakers, Janet and Garcia, rooted in their French and Mexican heritage, launched a dessert business from their home kitchen in Colorado. Their lemon-infused treats quickly gained popularity, leading to a thriving home-based delivery system.

I was tasked with illustrating a new and wonderful package design and illustration that honors their dessert business. The challenge was to create a  packaging illustration for their chocolate brand "Midnight Magic" that celebrates both cultures while radiating warmth and zest for life. Avoiding clichéd designs, the idea was to reflect the vibrant colors and playful spirit of France and Mexico, making the brand stand out.

Inspired by the rich cultural tapestry of both countries, I took inspiration from Latin American and French circus themes to craft a narrative that conveyed joy and celebration. The aim was to share Janet and Garcia's culinary journey and resonate with sweet lovers, inviting them to join the flavorful adventure.

Through various illustration and design iterations, I wanted the hand-drawn patterns to immerse customers in the joy of these delightful lemon treats. The final work embodies fun, warmth, and cultural richness, reflecting Janet and Garcia's love for sweets and their heritage.
