Women.Life.Freedom

Officially Commissioned Illustration

In response to the protests following the tragic death of Mahsa Amini, an open-access graphics platform hosted by Iranian Women of Graphic Design was created to encourage the use of visual media and amplify the protestor’s voices to a broader audience.

This initiative aimed to highlight the ongoing struggles faced by Iranian women in the hopes to bring attention to protests inside the country.

The final artwork focused on illustrating the resilience and strength of the #WomenLifeFreedom protests, emphasizing the crucial role of Iranian women in the demonstrations. My hope was to capture the spirit and significance of these movements.

The final illustration was also chosen for Denver's Emmanuel Gallery group exhibit, Colorado's Artist Showcase, on Human Rights Day.
